Perhaps I should give a disclaimer before commencing on this article. These are the thoughts of a twenty something year old . In my home place, they call me a Gen Z. Therefore, the ideas and information relayed in this only represent my thought process and elusive ideas projected in my moments of consternation. I just love thinking out loud!
This thing called life. What are the most important things? What are the pain points of missing out in this endeavor? What justifies a "Well-lived life"? And though this may seem suicidal... Does it really matter?
While all is said and done, I'd term this as a zero-sum game. That it all goes down to, who does it best, who exercises consistency in their craft and who is prepared enough when opportunity comes knocking... That's what they call good luck nowadays. But let's get critical on the topic, without pun let's astral project the matter... What really matters the most. Is it a want or a need. Is it life or likes. Is it the journey or the destination that matters most? What matters more... Tossing a coin with a possibility of losing it all or hoarding and living the better part of life regretting?
Does it matter for one to earn more, to be popular, to be vicious and triple their lot or exercise the 7 fruits with which we are instructed to guard and keep close at heart... at a close check, does YOLO stand the test of time? Is it worth it to pursue something even though its imminent one is chasing the wind? A losing duel? Is the cost worth it? Is surviving winning or is it living?
When you think about it... does it really matter? the hate, the fighting, the malice, the selfish acts. When all in all, we're just passing through, we're just but travelers and this is not our home? That if each day you live as if you won't be here tomorrow, someday you will be correct!
I may not have the true definition of living... Of a life well lived for that matter. But one thing's for certain, the most fulfilling thing is love. Love for all mankind. Regardless of tribe, religion, race or affiliation. I am convinced that it's the little things that matter. A little kindness, A little humility in the prospect of success, putting a smile on the less fortunate and exercising humanity at the expense of status.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am not any wiser but there's one thing I'd put... We should structure our societies and our lives such that every kind of individual can have a role to play....
This is my definition of Living!
