Modern Day Pilate.

To love is to be kind, to love is to show compassion. To love is to have the desire to go an extra mile on behalf of the other person. But above all, to love is to become understanding; even in the face of utmost questioning... you still choose to believe them, to tolerate them... Love dear ones, doesn't pass judgement!
The story begins on a journey back home. A journey of 250 km. Journey of roughly 3hrs 45 min. A journey that taught us a lot. We the listeners as well as those present in the bus that day. It's a journey that left us questioning our life choices... Those of us who were listening!
This is a story told last Sunday by our preacher, the man who i like to sit and listen to. He says to love is to sacrifice yet it is priceless. It's what gives us hope when we feel things are off-course. He says to love is to find JOY... Jesus Others You. It is being selfless... It is to foster understanding even when we not obligated to do so. This love, is patient. this love... is free from judgement!
He tells us of a man travelling together with the son. And while travelling, it began to rain. The son was seated at the window and immediately, he stretched his arm out towards the now open window. "Dad! see it is raining, see my hand has water". Anyone would be surprised on seeing a 30 year old man behaving childishly... Getting excited on the sight of rain!
And one man was bold to ask the father why the man was excited with a petty issue. "My son has been blind for the rest of his life sir, we're just from the hospital where he had his operation, he has regained his sight!" This he said with a bit of hesitation his deep voice.
We can all fall victim of this, being in a position to judge, thinking why our fellow counterparts are doing certain things that seem "Stupid" to us. Sometimes we can go to the extent of banishing them from our lives... When all along, they were innocent, living their lives and enjoying it!
Remember Pontius Pilate??? Lest we forget...
